Speaking
Ministry
“It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing
firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery. Galatians
5:1
“For the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to build
up the body of Christ,” Ephesians 4:12
Unfortunately many believers are not experiencing the freedom
available through Christ and instead feel as though they are under
the yoke of slavery. Barriers to removing this yoke, developed
through difficult life experiences, are hard to identify and
address. We would like to partner with you in this process. As
Biblical Counselors with extensive experience in dealing with
emotional and spiritual brokenness, we desire to use our expertise
to compliment the current ministries at your church.
Topics
available for seminars are listed below. We would also be happy to
design a talk specific for your needs. Please let us know how we
can be of service to you.
All seminars are given for a free will offering only.

Seminar and CD Topics:
1.
Parenting
– As parents we need to listen to our child’s heart, not their
behaviors. This seminar helps parents learn how to listen to their
child’s heart so that they will share their heart. Parents will
learn how to nurture their child’s emotional, relational and
spiritual health as well as practical skills for connecting with
their children on a deeper level. Parents will also learn the
importance of guarding their own hearts.
2.
Wounds
–
“Heal the Wounds but leave the scars, a reminder of how merciful you
are” Point of Grace. We all have emotional and spiritual wounds.
This seminar gives an understanding of where they come from and how
to resolve them.
3.
Masks
– We
all have God given needs for unconditional love, security, and
significance. We either find genuine ways to meet these needs or we
develop ways to wear a mask to deny and avoid the emptiness that
results from a lack of need fulfillment. Often we have private
masks and public masks. The private masks are the things we do that
others don’t know about to help us cope including various addictions
or dysfunctional relationships. Public masks are what we put on to
not only cover the unmet need but to avoid the private masks from
being revealed.
4.
Toxic Heart
– The Toxic Heart has an identity based in shame. Shame is a
prevailing sense of worthlessness that leads to the false belief
that “I am what I am. I can’t change. I am hopeless.” Shame comes
with self judgment and condemnation. We call this a “Grace
Deficiency” because condemnation is the opposite of Grace and
without Grace we have no hope of healing.
5.
Toxic Faith
– This seminar looks at those beliefs that keep us from experiencing
the freedom available in Christ. When we don’t experience the
freedom that the Bible promises, we need to look closely at our
beliefs and how we may have gotten a tainted view of who God is and
who we are in relation to Him.
6.
Freedom from Fear
– Scripture commands us to cast our cares, worries and anxieties
upon the Lord, and to commit and entrust ourselves, our desires and
our concerns totally to Him. But how do you do that? This series
explores this process and helps people realize that they don’t need
to be a slave to their anxieties or fears any longer.
7.
How big is Your God?
- Not how big God is but how big is YOUR God? Even though
we know that God is bigger than everything we face in life, we too
often don’t live as if this is true and instead live as if our God
is small. When we do this we end up burdened and overwhelmed with
the circumstances of life. This may be expressed in a number of
ways including depression, anxiety, failed relationships, or lack of
success but the problem is the same…in inadequate view of God and
His involvement in our lives.
8.
Take Every Thought
Captive
- 2 Corinthians 10:5 “We
demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against
the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it
obedient to Christ.” In this seminar, we explore this passage and
others to help us understand how to deal with unbiblical and
unhealthy thoughts that creep in and the enemy wants to take up root
as part our identity.
9.
Make Peace With Your
Past
– In this seminar, we explore how wounds from the past develop and
continue to burden us and hold us back if unresolved. We look at
how to heal from this past and steps to moving forward through God’s
grace. We also look at how to find your identity in Christ instead
of in your past.
10.
Forgiveness
- Forgiveness is dismissing your demand that others owe you
something when they fail to meet your expectations, fail to keep a
promise, or fail to treat you justly. In this seminar we look at
the unforgiving heart as well as the high cost of unforgiveness
compared to the high reward of forgiveness.
11.
Depression
– Depression has been called the common cold of mental illness. We
all know what depression feels like and many know what it is like to
be controlled by it. There are many misconceptions about depression
and often people look at someone who is depressed and don’t realize
the significance of this problem. Those who are deep in a
depression often fight for years unsuccessfully to overcome their
symptoms. Depression has many different causes and we need to
12.
Marital Unfaithfulness
– Marital unfaithfulness is a lot more than having an affair. We
are unfaithful to our marriage when one or both:
Fail to leave their
parents
Fail to weave a new
united cord - two become one
Fail to cleave to each
other - make your spouse the number one priority
Place the children
above the marital relationship
Become angry and bitter
13.
Biblical World View –
Every human has a world view. This is what you believe to be
absolute truth. Upon this premise you make life decisions. Every
life decision is to be filtered through Biblical truth. A secular
worldview has every life decision filtered through experience. Only
19% of Christians in America hold a biblical world view. In essence
those inside the church believe and think the same as those outside
of the church. While claiming to have Bible content knowledge, less
than one out of ten Americans demonstrate such knowledge through
their actions. The reason the church is losing their youth is
because no one is guiding the children to have a biblical world
view. Key verses on this truth are Romans 12:1-2 and Deuteronomy
6:4-9.
14.
Biblical Truth
Implemented in the Family -
The father's role is to lead as a servant leader. His
responsibility is to love in the appropriate love language of each
family member. The wife and mother is to follow the example of
Proverbs 31 as she shows respect to her husband. A child is to
honor his parents as he grows in the nurture and admonition of the
Lord. Each family is on a spiral up or a spiral down in accordance
to the demonstration of love and respect. The Bible lays down clear
principles. Each family makes application of these principles.
15.
Anger -
Anger is a surface emotion used to mask many other feelings that lie
beneath the surface and are often ignored. Anger is a signal that
tells you something is not right. In this seminar we learn how to
pay attention to this signal in a healthy way and find solutions.
We also explore many misconceptions about anger.
16.
Conflict Resolution
– This seminar explores the various forms of conflict we face and
how to address these conflicts in a Biblical manner. During the
seminar, we will explore the difference between resolution,
reconciliation, and forgiveness. We also explore the difference
between attackers and avoiders when it comes to dealing with
conflict.
17.
Addictions -
Anything that masters or controls you is an addiction. This Seminar
addresses addictions that affect all of us. We explore the common
addictions (drugs, alcohol, tobacco), taboo addictions (sex,
pornography, fetishes), and ignored addictions (food, work, facebook,
etc.)
18.
Weight Counseling -
Diets don’t work! 98% of those who reach their target weight
loss will regain it all back within one year because the emphasis is
upon diet, not upon the attitude and motive for what is eaten.
19.
Christ-Centered
Biblical Counseling
- This outlines the difference between secular, Christian and
Biblical Counseling. We practice Christ-Centered Biblical
Counseling at Grace Wellness Center which means we use the Bible as
our primary source and anything that would contradict it is
rejected. In addition we focus on identity in Christ and ongoing
transformation as the Biblical goal for all believers. This seminar
outlines this process and how we can help people through healing
power of God’s word, prayer and the direction of the Holy Spirit.
20.
Natural Health
– At Grace Wellness Center, we offer upper cervical chiropractic
care, trigger point massage therapy, nutrition counseling,
supplements and natural health assessment. We can conduct seminars
on any related topics. |
